Printing and baking notes
- Standard PLA is not certified food-safe. Print in a food-grade filament, or lay plastic wrap between cutter and dough. Hand-wash in cold water — PLA softens around 60 °C.
- Print it exactly as exported: rim down, cutting edge up, 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, no supports. A typical cutter prints in under half an hour.
- Letters like O, A, and B cut a floating middle piece out of the dough — that is normal. Poke it out before baking or keep it for a stencil look.
- In text mode the bottom rim bridges adjacent letters into one cutter. If a wide space splits the word, the tool warns you — reduce spacing or raise the rim width.
- Flour the cutting edge or chill the dough if the wall drags. The 0.8 mm edge handles sugar-cookie and gingerbread dough straight off the printer.
